Hi guys,

I am pleased to announce that I have figured out a way for everyone to play LoMM without the need of a valid CDKey.

It has been done to my server and LoMMHQ.com server, I'm sure all potential servers will follow suit.

Its so simple it's scary, basically, all you need to run a server is to launch it in LAN only mode and then make your IP available to the community.

With LAN only mode, the server does not communicate with Gamespy, therefor does not check CDKeys. You can play with a fake one, a friends one(At the same time) or none at all!

Barriers: During testing, myself and Blam found that my server wasn't visible in the Internet tab, but was visible in Specific IP and Favourites. However, LoMMHQ.com server remained visible in the Internet tab (We're still working out why :S) All we need to do is make sure everyone has an up to date favourites.txt file.

Soon, we will make available a LoMM FULL download that doesn't require a CDKey...

Ok so we are coming up on LoMM's 10 year anniversary this year and i have a question about that. I was wondering what everyone knows about the games officially release. I have found a couple of different dates out there and wanted to see if anyone knew any more info on the validity of these dates floating around the net. Seems different games sites report different days than others.

I found that the demo was released on April 18th 2001. I havnt found any more info on another date for its release. Not sure if it was different for other countries? I think this was the only web release date for the demo.

Wiki has the full game release at June 20th 2001 (North America).......but i also found that there was a possible earlier release over in Europe on June 18th 2001. Can anyone validate this...

Hey fellow Lommers, I'd like to share this project-in-develoment with all of you. It's called Might & Magic X: The Anduran Saga, and it's going to continue the M&M RPG series from where it left off in Might & Magic IX: The Writ of Fate, after Enroth was totally destroyed. This project is going to be amazing, and this year we're in the process of switching game engines from Horizon (used in MM6 through 8 ) to a new, player-made game engine.

Check us out on Facebook, and head over to the MMX forums if you're a programmer or an artist that would like to help out with the project. Any questions are welcome.

Thanks!

Might & Magic X on Facebook

MMX Forums on The Gaming Universe
