dont feel srry for what is left, there are plenty of players still playin and actually filling the servers completely at times...... i still play and the game itself is more alive than these forums..

i was playing yesterday with 10 in a server so i think its just when you catch the right times with people on..
there is a small dedicated lomm fan base that never really goes away it seems and although there are times that people arent on the 3-5 servers......you can come back an hour later to find someone on. The are actually new players finding the game at times and old players bringing new ones on as well.....still.

Usually when no one is on i will get on for a bit practicing my jumps and such and then a player will pop up......after that the attraction multiplies and before you know it there are 5,6,7 people playing. Usually it just takes just 1 person to sit in a server and be the first.............alot of people dont like being the first so ya know........the games dont start until one person sits around for a lil bit.

Also you will find the euros on early in the morn (for me on the east coast) and another crowd on in the evenings and weekends....
its not safe to assume that just because the servers arent filled that no one is really playing........they are at the right times.

but yeah its not like the golden age of lomm or anything.........more like the twilight...

i just watched a few vids of the team fortress, never seen or heard of it before.......besides on the ava forum a week ago..

first thoughts on its look, personally i was not impressed with the toy story looking characters, seems they are very cartoonish looking, maybe a strategy to reduce the realistic violence of games into a more pleasing atmosphere for the kids? who knows........i just wasnt impressed with the look. The enviromnment looked cool but the characters have that kiddie quality to them if u know what i mean.
Yeah i know lomm isnt the best with player character graphics and this isnt a comparison....merely an opinion on how they are perceived by my own eyes.

im sure there is great team and gameplay, with its title it has to be somewhat team oriented, i saw alot of people zaping their teams to fix them i assume, looked like a medic beam or something. While this all looks interesting, there is one thing that would stop me buying this or any other game of the same quality.......and that is the rushed nature of movement. It seems from the videos to be about the same speed as the Unreal Tournament games and that is something im not into at all. I hate games where u are flying around like lunatics.........although UT was fun for a lil bit i hated the way that it was soo fast with random bullets flying everywhere without much aim.......more like a hold the trigger and blast anything type of deal.

im sure team fortress is a great game and very enjoyable for a lot of people......it just fails my interest with what i saw. I know there is a whole lot of gamers who think that this game play style is ideal and i think thats great. Also im not trying to dog the game as i am open to all forms of games that could possibly interest me. Maybe im just too picky or have little time to entertain another game unless it really amazing to me. So far i havnt seen such a game, im sure there will be something........just not TF2...from what ive seen.

Reguardless of what i think, im sure TF2 doesnt need the tiny lomm crowd to boost its numbers..........its seems like one of those massive player games like quake or unreal which is good for you guys. Updates and stuff should be abound.
Im sure there are some lommers that will try this and love this, we should and will play multiple games on our systems and thats great......its just not sparking my interest at this point too much.
