Posts: 2102 (07/24/08 9:38 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	ive never had those problems so im not sure? lets try to figure this out? what firewalls are u guys using, is this happening in all servers? have you tried changing your connection speed in the server list option screen? did this just start happening after a while or right from start of the current lomm installation use? type updaterate in consol and see what it says.. should say 10 for norm type prediction in your consol, should say 1 type maxfps in consol and try 30 or 50 or 80 or 0 (unlimited).........maxfps 80 for example. try changing down to 800 x 600 x 16 resolution in your video options to see if it helps smooth things up. you say lag so im not sure if this lot will help at all.. see what happens.. oh and 1 time i had a set of new video drivers that made lomm look all funny and half drawn. I downgraded a level in drivers and it fixed it up. It was obvious it was a graphics issue though and not a latency one. also try right clicking on the play icon for lomm and change the compatability mode to win 98 or something diff. I got lucky with this xp comp i just got, lomm is running pretty good. I do have a clean system with nothing really running in the background. Do you guys have other applications or major services running when you are playing?

Lomm used to run fine, and now i dont even play lomm anymore from that comp.Dunno what makes the game laggy...I've tried all that u say, blams! Anyways, i think i will buy one like u, for at home. Posts: 5 (11/20/08 6:06 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hey I haven't had a chance to really fill in details for fenix since ive been buried in work at college, and lost a little interest in getting the game running because of its failure to function properly... So anyways... to answer your questions and help fill in the specifics, we had just returned to playing (since it was summer) but the program was installed on our computers for a while and had been working fine... it was just random, and out of no where that this lagging out of the server problem happened... its so bad that it almost seems like a failure to launch/maintain stability of the program. I was running an hp pavilion with a decent graphics card from '04... and yes its a bit outdated by now (and pending to be replace) but with my setup there should've been no problem, and hearing as my friend fenix, and desi having the same problem too now... i think theres something suspicious, and not so coincidental going on here.... I am running on Xp, not vista... and... what else? we tried uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch including the patch, and still nothing... hmmm and my computer is as clean as it gets, i wipe it out occasionally to avoid junk {we both maintain our computers very well} and not a single program was running at the same time as lomm.... and there was no new hardware added either in recency to the game's failure. I wish that there was something I could do... I've been playing lomm since god... since I was like 14 which was like 6 years ago if thats accurate... and I really miss the game, there's no other like it. We do play Guild wars too but what good is it without a little lomm to switch it up. I really miss spending all nighters high on coffee running around like crazy on all the maps ... stoneham, ruins, etc... and large games were always a party ... I'd really like to become active again now that school is chilling out again. And not to get off topic, but if anyone has any suggestions as to what clans are still active and going strong - id like to join a clan as well... I am loyal to EDK lol but I havent heard from them in over a year/ and have been told that they died out a long time ago in lomm (except on GW) so thats pretty much a lost cause... Posts: 2102 (12/06/08 12:54 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	srry to hear your game wont work right, its a long shot but do u think the new windows service pack 3 has anything to do with things? after i installed that it messed up my windows updates from installing so i uninstalled it and updated everything without service pack 3 since it isnt necessary. Lomm would load weird sometimes but has been a lot smoother since i got rid of SP3 but who knows it might be my imagination heh.. not sure what active clans are really active in lomm anymore....... i know us in 420 are kinda active mostly in the forums....we dont play clan matches anymore and some of us still play lomm but i just dont know about the other clans. hope you can figure your game out, its a shame that software is stopping u from running around the lomm lands...
