Rewards
* You earn cash for winning, for losing, for killing monsters and for achieving objectives. In the Dragon scenarios, you can get additional cash for injuring the Dragon.
* Most scenarios place a chest or two near the starting point. Depending on how greedy you are, you can make them your first priority. Finders, keepers ... losers, weepers. The cash (or scroll) belongs to whomever grabs it.
* If your nice and not greedy, weigh your need for cash before rushing to the nearest chest. You might hold off on upgrading your Bow of Carnage if newbies in your party need to arm themselves.
* You can usually buy at any point during the round, as long as you return to your starting point. If you've racked up a lot of gold and want to beef up your armor or weapon, go for it.
* Sometimes its wiser to not spend all you money at the start of a scenario. You can tag along with a group and kill some monsters to earn a little more, or make a mad dash toward the nearest chest. Waiting a few extra minutes can give you the funds you need to get something bigger and better.
* If you've a lot of cash and some weak newbies in your party, you can buy a more powerful weapon and then drop it for them. That gives them more firepower, and you, more protection.
* The old adage "you can't take it with you when your gone" definitely applies to this game. You lose all your purchased (or "found") equipment when you die, but not your gold. However, you lose all of your money whenever a new scenario is loaded, or the current one is reloaded.
* You even earn cash for kills you make after you die. For example, if your H.H.G.A. or trap explodes and kills someone after you have fallen, you still collect the reward.
* Scenario Bounty. Each round that the Princess goes un-rescued or the Warlord fails to escape, 500 gold is added to the scenario objective reward value for that team. The player who rescues/escapes will get this "jackpot" amount, and each of his other teammates will get half that amount.
