yeah i always wondered if the originators (in any area) of the game ever think about lomm or where it is these days. Not much support ever for lomm. Maybe it was just another job for them ya know..

yeah i always wondered about that version of the game and what happened to it. I have a bunch of shots i grabbed off the net years back of that stuff that i plan to put up here at some point. You can see places that look like Rescue at the Ruins and other bits that resemble the lomm we play.

If you take a look at the image at the top of the Gathering topic you can see an old screenie i used from the old lomm RPG game to create it. Also if you look at the unrezed version of the lomm files there are bits and pieces of the old RPG game still in there. Magic spells, items, character stats and other bits not seemingly used in our lomm. There are also other maps that were created and tested for lomm, but im assuming they just didnt make it to the game release. Im sure they're long gone now though.

I still have lots of different content to add to this site that relate to lomm from things ive collected over the years. I dont always have the time to work steady but sometimes i get bursts where i can do stuff. I have far from given up on lomm so you can expect more from this place in lommness even if it does take a little while. This is still my favourite game and i wont desert it regardless of how old or how many play.

The fact that i can create content, as in lomm places (worlds), is still a big thing on my agenda. I wont however release new maps until im really happy with them. I rushed a lot in the old maps i made and im not that happy with them.....although i didnt have any real knowledge of creating game maps besides what i picked up along the way with basic reading on the net and just trial and error map making so its not like i was ever experienced at this stuff. I do have a better sense of game play dynamics these days so hopefully that will carry over into the new maps i make. Talking of new maps, the files from the old player maps will return soon for download ,im working on that area right now and tidying it up a bit.

Thanks for the interview, its cool to see old stuff like that. I have some lomm interview somewhere too that i saved, i'll have to dig it up and see what its all about again.

Not sure if you know but I've never played any other M&M games besides lomm. Lomm just captivated my attention and that was all she wrote after that hehe. Im going to do some pic/vid searches to see what those maps look like u talked of and i wish u good luck on getting in contact with the old M&M folk. Hope u can get what u need..

Wow i checked out the M&M IX vids on youtube and what an inspiration they're gonna be! I never knew that the lithtech engine was used in that game and it was like watching an exploratory lomm type game! I myself find it hard to play games that arent multiplayer, i find playing vs a computer very boring and lifeless in a way, but the content in the vids i saw is very much a boost for me in inspiration for new map content.

Im wondering if any of the old rpg shots i have are actually from that game now, i know some i have are original rpg stuff but im sure you can help me out when i post them up. Btw a lot of the old rpg pics i grabbed are from gaming sites years ago and some are still around today. They have their stamp on some of the corners.....whats the deal with re posting content like that? Should they be edited or left alone, do u know?

I was amazed how lomm like M&M IX was, with the monsters, graphics and sounds. I will be using similar designs of buildings and stuff based on the vids i find with the different stuff in them that i recreate in future maps. It probably wont be exact but i can get a better feel for the world design from the walkthroughs i saw on YT. Maybe you could suggest an area that could be recreated in some way that might work for a lomm map? If you have any ideas of small places that might work or certain structures it would be very helpful.

well Al im not getting the game for a while, im using the video walkthru's people have created on Youtube. They've got all the levels played through and i already searched and found some of those places. I was checking out the lich lab fight the other night and its easy to just search and click to different parts of the walkthru, freeze it and build. Im not going to make exact copies of the maps, that might be a huge task, what im gonna do is use the structures and scenery to create places to fight in. Ill use the building designs and stuff, make it seem more might and magickish than me just creating random houses and stuff. I'll get the game at a later date for sure though.
