Hey, basically I'm attempting to make a map, but I don't know how to test it. When I try to launch the world it gives me an error about it not being able to run it from the directory.
What do I need in the 3 boxes in the options dialogue to make it run?  |

here ya go..
just change the locations to match your lomm installation which u will use for mapping.. i have a couple diff lomm's on my machine.. i never changed anything in the 3rd box, i dont think u need to.. goodluck.. --------------- EXECUTABLE: C: \Mapping\3DO\Legends of Might and Magic\lithtech.exe WORKING DIRECTORY: C: \Mapping\3DO\Legends of Might and Magic PROGRAM ARGUMENTS: -rez MyGame +runworld %WorldName% ----------------- oh i spaced the 2 adresses at the beginnings to prevent smileys showing up on those lines.. |

thanx Blammo, I've kinda got it working now, but the textures aren't anywhere where I placed them in DEdit, and some of my doors aren't working, but I'm sure I'll figure them out after playing with em a little.

sometimes if you choose the direct 3d option and then the D3D as the default renderer.....it will vanish your textures...
i learnt this while installing on to a computer with a lesser vid card than my previous.. one sec i had textures and the next everything was blank.. not sure if thats what u got but also remember to load up your .dep file each time after u start up dedit so it can load up all the data ur dedit needs to work. also, post up what your doors arent doing and i will try to help.. |
